Mon 19 May Share & Prayer Room 22 Lunchtime

‘Guest Speaker: Karen Jones’

fhcu meets as usual on Monday for a share and prayer session. Please give some thought to what you might like prayer for in advance of our last session of the term!

Ant Ant Ant is the full-time Youth Minister at St Michael's Church and co-leads fhcu in Filton High School with Clare. He lives in Stoke Gifford with his wife, Laura, and their son, Josh. In his spare time, Ant loves music and sport.
Clare Clare Clare co-ordinates fhcu at Filton High School - it was all her idea in the first place! She is also a member of Mettle and a RE:fresh regular. In her spare time, Clare enjoys watching TV (especially Neighbours).
Trevor Trevor Trevor works as a full-time Youth Ministry Assistant at St Michael's Church. He helps out at fhcu amongst his many jobs (which include more than just making tea for Ant... although that's part of it!)

fhcu is the Christian Union at Filton High School.

It is open to anyone in Years 10-13 (or younger by agreement), and meets every Monday lunchtime in Room 22.

It's an opportunity for Christians at Filton High (ANY Christians, not just those from St Michael's Church!) to get together and chat about what it means to be a Christian in the real world. All are welcome... whether Christians, or just looking.

fhcu came about in late 2005 as a result of a conversation between St Michael's Church Youth Minister Ant Miles and Clare Hepburn, then in Year 11. Both had a vision to set up a group for Christians in Filton High School, and thus, fhcu was born.

We started life meeting on Monday lunchtimes in Room E3 with two regular members. Since then we have moved to Room 22 and over the last year have grown to a regular group of about 12 people. There is still plenty of room for more, though!

If you'd like to find out more, please contact ant@stmikesyouth.org, or within school, speak to Clare Hepburn (sixth form).
